If you search for a substance by number, you will be able to see its name and basic emergency response information about it. Also note the green button labelled  ”Protective Distances.”  This extra information is available only for certain very hazardous materials.

This information is intended for emergency response personnel. For more details please refer to the official Protective Actions page.

Note that, in addition to the basic information available, you can save a Placard to either a list or in a map view and record when and where you spotted each Placard.

Once you have saved one or more placards to your list, you can go back and view all your entries using a map view. You also can view your saved Placards in a list sorted by either date or by Placard number.
